The goal of the Westchester Neuroscience Research Foundation is to fund 1-2 research projects per year beginning in 2010.  Projects will be funded with grants from $25,000 to $100,000 over two years.   In the first year, 50% of the funding will be awarded and then investigators will submit a progress report to the foundation at the end of the first year.  If objectives are met, then balance of funding will be provided for the second year.

The foundation will be soliciting projects in the specific areas of:
  • Malignant Brain Tumors - Primary Gliomas
  • Head Injury - Treatment for preventing primary or secondary damage after head injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury - Treatment for preventing primary or secondary damage after spinal cord injury
